Chinese Checkers

跳棋

Chinese checkers is characterized by its hexagram-shaped board, which can accommodate up to 6 players. The main goal of Chinese checkers is tomove all your marbles from your end to the oppositepoint of the star. Players can move their marbles by"hopping" over a single adjacent marble – one's own or the opponent's – and can continue tohop until there's no more adjacent marble.

跳棋的特点在于六边形的棋盘,最多可供6人游戏。跳棋的主要游戏目标是把所有的弹珠从你的一端移到棋盘的另一端。玩家通过借助相邻弹珠——可以是自己的也可以是对手的——来使自己的弹珠“跳跃”前进,直到没有相邻弹珠可跳为止。

Tangram

The tangram is a dissection puzzle consisting of seven flat polygons which are put together toform shapes. The objective is to replicate a pattern (given only an outline) generally foundin a puzzle book using all seven pieces without overlap. It is reputed to have been invented inChina sometime around the late 18th century CE and then carried over to America and Europeby trading ships shortly after.

A string figure is a design formed by manipulating string on, around, and using one's fingersor sometimes between the fingers of multiple people. String figures may also involve the useof the mouth, wrist, and feet. The game ends when one of the two players cannot think of anynext solution to the current figure or when one player fails to hold the figure with hands.

翻花绳就是用自己的手指或是在多人手指之间翻转绳子从而形成形状。翻花绳也可能会用到嘴、手腕和脚。如果两个玩家中的某一个想不出当前图形的下一个可以翻的形状,或者某个玩家绳子散了,游戏就结束。

A marble is a small spherical object often made from glass. These balls vary in size. Marblescan be used for a variety of games called marbles. They are often collected, both fornostalgia and for their aesthetic colors. Players often use their fingers to "shoot" one marbleto hit the opponent's marble and can acquire it if it was hit.

Shuttlecock

The shuttlecock is made out of rubber or a plastic disk and attached with many feathers. Theplayer's goal is to keep the shuttlecock in the air while kicking it only using the feet repeatedly.

Bamboo dragonfly

Bamboo dragonfly has a helicopter top axis with a cord wound around it, with a horizontalblade sticking out from the axis. A player would pull the cord and release hands; the bamboodragonfly will take off vertically in the air like a helicopter.

Beanbags

Throwing beanbags is a popular traditional Chinese game for kids in the 80s. Thesetraditional Chinese toys are usually handmade from parents or grandparents. The pitcher willtry to hit the opponent with a beanbag; the one that was hit will be eliminated from the game. The opponent who catches the beanbag either will choose to "add a life" or "save ateammate's life" from eliminations.

Chinese jump rope

The Chinese jump rope resembles more of a giant stretched out rubber band. It is a thin pieceof elastic rope that is looped around two pairs of legs. The objective of this game is to hookyour legs into the rope to form loops and patterns in a certain sequence. This is oftenaccompanied by a rhyme or song. As each level is completed, the rope is moved higher, making the patterns more difficult to complete.

跳皮筋用的皮筋更像是一根巨大且拉扯开的橡皮筋,细细的有弹性,绕在两双腿上。游戏目标是把你的腿钩在皮筋上,按一定顺序钩出圈圈和图案,跳皮筋同时通常还会念一段词儿或唱一首歌。每完成一次,绳子就抬高一些,难度升级。

The longer you can keep it spinning, the better. Some tops are spun by means of a stringwound around the base. The string is pulled sharply as the top is thrown forward. Players usea rope to lash a top so as to spin it.

玩家用绳子抽陀螺来使其旋转,让它转得越久越好。还有些陀螺是用绳子绕在底座上,抽出来时旋转。猛地一抽绳,陀螺就会向前转出去。

Rock paper scissors

Rock paper scissors is a hand game in which players simultaneously form one of threeshapes with an outstretched hand. These shapes are "rock" (a closed fist), "paper" (a flathand), and "scissors" (a fist with the index finger and middle finger extended, forming a V). The rule is illustrated in the picture. Normally, one player wins at the end by beating allplayers with the right shape.
